BORNO, Nigeria – The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has opened its portal for eligible candidates to print their notification slips for the 2026 Mop-Up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination scheduled for Saturday, June 13. Candidates who missed the main UTME due to technical issues or were unable to complete biometric verification during the earlier exercise are now advised to visit the official JAMB website and print their slips ahead of the examination.
According to a statement issued by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the mop‑up exercise is specifically designed for candidates who were genuinely unable to sit for the main UTME owing to technical glitches or biometric verification failures. The Board urged candidates to familiarize themselves with their examination centres and comply with all instructions printed on their slips, which contain essential details such as examination dates, times, and specific venues. JAMB also emphasized that the mop‑up exercise represents the final opportunity for eligible candidates to participate in the 2026 UTME, and no further extensions will be granted.
The Board has also reiterated that candidates must adhere strictly to all examination guidelines, including the prohibition of electronic devices and other prohibited materials at test centres. Security measures have been strengthened at all designated mop‑up examination centres nationwide to ensure a smooth and credible process.
With less than a week to the examination, JAMB has encouraged candidates to promptly print their slips and arrive at their assigned centres on time. Any candidate who fails to utilise this final opportunity will have to wait until the next UTME cycle.
